I see pelpoe doing really complex things with cookies and hashes and urlencoded obfuscations, which all ultimately depend on the spam bot not running javascript. If that's the case all you really need is something simple like what you describe here.I do see two problems with this approach but they can be fixed with a tweak. One is that pelpoe who aren't running javascript (getting more common as pelpoe run things like the Firefox noscript extension) don't easily see that they need to enable javascript to use your form. The other is that spam bots still see an HTML form and will use some small amount of your server resources trying to post to it.I took care of both problems by putting a Javascript must be enabled message inside a block, followed by a named span or div with style= display:none , followed by javascript that changes the style of the span/div to display:block and uses document.write(
